The El Monte Community Center
housed the administrative offices for the Parks,
Recreation, and Transportation components for
the City of El Monte. There are meeting rooms,
and small and large auditoriums available for
citizens and civic groups on a rental basis.

meeting facility available for rent.

Park is a park/school site of 9.3 acres which
is adjacent to Frank Wright Elementary School
that utilizes the park’s outdoor sports
facilities for recreational purposes with the
following amenities: Large community building
with auditorium, meeting rooms and kitchen facilities.
Indoor gymnasium with one full basketball court,
four ½ size basketball courts, two portable
volleyball courts, lighted Little League field
(ages 9 to 12 years old), unlighted Tiny League
baseball field (ages 6 to 8 years old), covered
picnic shelter seating up to 60 individuals,
scattered picnic tables throughout the park.

Zamora
Park is a 5.17 acre park with the following
amenities: Community Center type building with
auditorium, small kitchen and meeting rooms.
Park office with public restrooms. Covered picnic
shelter, scattered picnic tables, wadding pool,
playground equipment area. The El Monte Youth
Development Center, a non-profit organization,
is located at Zamora Park which enhances the
social and educational opportunities of the
youth in the area.

The
Santa Fe Trail Historical Park is situated on
a one area park. The park had been designated
by the State of California as a Historical Landmark
#975 in 1989. The park was built in 1989 depicting
the historical significance of El Monte being
the end of the Santa Fe Trail that started in
the state of Missouri. The special features
of this park include the Osmond House, a typical
1800’s house, the original El Monte Jail,
a Connastoga wagon and the Official California
State Historical Marker which are all built
around a center plaza fountain.
