Planning

The Planning Division provides zoning and land-use information to the general public via in-person visits at the public counter, over the telephone, and online through the City's website and email correspondence.  Staff from the Planning Division provides support to the City Council and also serves as the primary liaison to the Planning Commission, Modication Committee, and the Art in Public Places Committee.  In partnership with staff from the Community Services and Public Works Departments, the Planning Division also oversees initiatives related to Health and Wellness, Urban Agriculture, and Urban Forestry.  In all of its duties, the Planning Division strives to provide the highest level of customer service and to apply the City's zoning regulations in an equitable and just manner.
