Homeless Prevention & Rapid Rehousing Program (HPRP)

Issued under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the city of El Monte received Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (HPRP) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide financial assistance and services to prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless and to quickly rehouse and stabilize the living environments of those who are experiencing homelessness.

Eligibility Requirements

A household income at or below 50% of the Los Angeles County Area Medium Income Limit

Must currently live in El Monte

No other housing options

Household temporarily lacks the financial resources and support networks needed to obtain immediate housing or to remain housed

Applicants must be legal residents of the United States
