It is the mission of the City Manager's Office to insure that all policies set forth by the City Council are followed by each and every department in the City.  The City Manager is dedicated to providing quality service to all residents and businesses in the community, and to insure that municipal services are furnished promptly and efficiently throughout the city.

Additionally, the City Manager is committed to being pro-active in the community, to attract new businesses and expand opportunities for both entrepreneurs and residents alike.  The City Manager is selected by the City Council as their executive arm, and he serves at the pleasure of the Council under a contract that periodically can be renewed.  

The City Manager is supported by a team of professional and clerical staff to insure that the direction of the City Council is fulfilled to every extent possible. 

The regular office hours of City Hall are:
Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Human Resources Division handles all matters related to Personnel.  Please give them a call at (626) 580-2040.
I am a vendor with items that the City may find useful. How would I sell items to the City and who would I contact for an appointment?
 
The Purchasing Division can be contacted directly at (626) 580-2065 to make an appointment with the Purchasing Agent.
I really like the City web site www.ci.el-monte.ca.us but I have a recommended change.  Who would I contact?
 
The Information Technology Division can be reached at 626 580-2036, or you can send them an e-mail at infotech@ci.el-monte.ca.us.
What should I do to prepare myself, my family and my business for an emergency or local disaster?
 
There are many things that you should consider doing.  The first is to contact the City of El Monte Disaster Preparedness Coordinator at 626 580-2276 to discuss your specific situation.
